Last National Park Visit: July'23 (Mt. Rainier) & Vamessy's National Park Count: 12/63

Last National Monument Visit: Craters of the Moon, ID (Aug'23)

Hey friends! I wanted to take a hot sec to inform people of a super cool thing that one of my wonderful Bozeman besties, Kayla, informed me of! The national parks and monuments offer a Junior Ranger Program in which people fill out a booklet, learn information about the park they are in, and get it checked to receive either a patch or badge for their efforts! People can receive their booklets and turn them in at pretty much any ranger information center and I would highly recommend it as a way of better experiencing the park you are in! It reminded me of the program that I used to participate in every year in the New York State parks and I am so happy to learn that other areas of the country have similar traditions. Unlike the New York parks, the National Park patch/badge does not change year to year so once a junior ranger- forever a junior ranger (hella bragging rights).
