Gothics & Armstrong were two of my fav hikes in the adks - might be my fav 46ers (Gothics is #10 in 46ers)
Hiked it with pops!! Don't think I have a pic of any of the summits, but I do have this very sweaty pic of my dad at Beaver Meadow Falls on the way up :)

These were my first ever 46ers!! I was just a wee lil lady. I remember being bamboozled by some false summits & wanting to cry. Pretty sure the parents coaxed me up with candy & all was right in the world.

Went in through the "Southern ADK entrance" aka Calamity Brook Trail & camped out overnight! Lots of leantos to backpack into & shorten your day hike up Colden
Parents used to go in this way all the time and camp out #wholesome

Pops said there is some sort of weird statue off the calamity trail, (or at least used to be) but monica & I didn't see it!
